The details
Our client is a leading independent media organisation. WIth offices in London, New York and APAC. The business has a strong and successful track record in strategic acquisitions, with 19 acquisitions completed since 2008, and three in the most recent financial year. They are actively targeting further acquisition opportunities in line with their long term growth strategy meaning they have a need to recruit a Corporate Acquisition Analyst. This is a really exciting opportunity to join a dynamic Finance Team and play an integral part in their future growth plans. Key responsibilities include:
– Perform pre-purchase valuations
– Perform finance due diligence on targets, prepare scope and review output from external providers of due diligence
– Assist the Head of Acquisitions and Corporate Development with the drafting of the finance and tax aspects of the acquisition agreements
– Ensure compliance with ongoing financial obligations of acquisition agreements
– Calculate opening balance sheet fair values
– Co-ordinate finance aspects of integration
– Post-acquisition performance monitoring
– Manage or help with various other projects including Group structure simplification, controls and working capital.
The successful applicant will be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with a first class academic background and have gained a strong technical grounding in UK GAAP and IFRS. Essential to this role will be excellent communication skills, verbal and written, an ability to build relationships quickly at all levels and to present financial information in a manner that can be understood by all recipients. Highly advantageous will be experience of working on acquisitions along with an understanding of discounted cash flow models along with advanced Excel skills
