The details
Our client, a PE backed technology business, are building an Enterprise Data & Reporting team to provide forward-looking, data driven business insights and recommendations to the Senior Leadership team. This will support and inform internal operational strategy. As part of this continued growth, they have a need to recruit a newly created role, a Data & Reporting Analyst. Reporting into the Data & Reporting Manager, this role will be key in both laying the foundations for and making continuous improvements to the Enterprise level Data & Reporting function within the business. The team will drive the reporting for non-financial indicators, provide insights and analysis to aid management decisions, and to support in key data-driven processes such as payments to external partners.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the Data & Reporting Manager and the Data Lead with building out an enterprise level reporting framework and processes and taking ownership of producing weekly/monthly reporting
* Working with teams across the organisation to understand their datasets, support with building templates and new processes for data gathering, with data integrity in mind at all times
* Analysis of key datasets, provide recommendations to Data & Reporting Manager/Senior Management on new metrics that could be used to drive performance.
* Enhance data controls through rolling out improved processes across the organisation
* Support with production and analysis of portfolio level forecast and build delivery volume
* Run data validation processes as necessary.
The successful applicant will have excellent excel skills, have the ability to quickly analyse large datasets and visualise where necessary, have a problem solving mindset and an ability to work with large volumes of data. You will have demonstrable experience in building relationships across a variety of departments; key stakeholders to this role will span across the entire organisation. Highly advantageous experience would be having previously worked in a commercial Finance or FP&A function along with exposure to Power BI or Tableau
