The details
We are partnered with a fast‑scaling technology business who are looking for a Finance Business Partner who thrives in a data‑heavy, commercially driven environment. This role sits at the heart of the organisation, partnering directly with senior leaders to drive clarity, challenge assumptions, and support strategic decision‑making.
The role will be the go‑to finance contact for operational and commercial teams, ensuring costs are understood, allocated correctly, and used to inform real business outcomes. If you enjoy turning complex data into actionable insight – and want genuine exposure to the SLT – this is the role.
Key Responsibilities Include:
– Own and enhance cost allocation models, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with business activity.
– Work with large, complex data sets, building reporting and insight that supports operational and commercial decision‑making.
– Act as a true business partner to senior stakeholders, challenging constructively and influencing strategy.
– Deliver monthly performance packs, variance analysis, and forward‑looking commentary.
– Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling across multiple business units.
– Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting quality, and data integrity.
– Provide clear, concise financial insight to the Senior Leadership Team, with regular exposure and direct interaction.
Skills & Experience Required:
– Strong background in management accounting, FP&A, or commercial finance.
– Proven experience working with large data sets and building meaningful insight.
– Excellent stakeholder management – confident, credible, and able to challenge senior leaders.
– A qualified accountant with at least 2 years post qualification experience (ACA / CIMA / ACCA)
– Strong analytical skills with the ability to simplify complexity.
– Experience in cost allocation, cost modelling, or multi‑entity environments.
– Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving tech or SaaS‑style business.
The successful applicant will be commercially minded, proactive, have a problem‑solving approach, be highly collaborative, with the ability to build trust quickly. You will also be detail‑driven, curious, energetic, and motivated by partnering closely with the business.
