A high‑impact opportunity for an exceptional FP&A leader to shape the financial planning, performance insight and long‑range strategy of a fast‑growing global renewable energy business. This role sits at the centre of strategic decision‑making, partnering closely with the executive team to drive clarity, discipline and commercial intelligence across a diverse portfolio of clean‑energy assets and international projects.
Leading the FP&A function, managing a small, high‑performing team responsible for budgeting, forecasting, investment appraisal and enterprise‑level financial insight. The organisation is scaling rapidly across solar, wind, green hydrogen and sustainable infrastructure, requiring a VP who can bring structure, challenge and strategic foresight to a complex, multinational environment. This is a role for a confident operator who can influence senior stakeholders, translate financial performance into actionable strategy, and ensure the business maintains strong financial governance while pursuing ambitious global growth.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead the FP&A team, owning group‑wide budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning cycles.
– Deliver high‑quality financial insight to the executive leadership team, shaping strategic decisions across global renewable energy projects.
– Build and enhance financial models covering project economics, portfolio performance, scenario planning and capital allocation.
– Partner with Strategy, Corporate Finance, Treasury and Operations to align financial plans with investment priorities and sustainability goals.
– Oversee monthly performance reviews, ensuring clear analysis of variances, risks, opportunities and key value drivers.
– Strengthen FP&A processes, governance and reporting frameworks as the organisation scales.
– Support major investment decisions, including project bids, joint ventures, acquisitions and divestments.
– Present concise, compelling financial narratives to senior stakeholders, boards and external partners.
– Develop and mentor a small team, fostering analytical excellence and a culture of continuous improvement.
Essential Experience & Capabilities:
– Significant FP&A leadership experience within the renewable energy sector – solar, wind, green hydrogen, sustainable infrastructure or related clean‑tech markets.
– Proven track record operating in a complex, multinational organisation.
– Strong strategic mindset with the ability to connect financial performance to commercial and operational outcomes.
– Advanced modelling capability, including project finance, portfolio analysis and long‑range planning.
– Exceptional communication skills, able to distil complexity and influence senior leaders.
– Experience supporting major investment decisions, capital allocation and project evaluation.
– Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high‑performing teams.
