We are partnered with a high‑growth, UK‑wide infrastructure business who require a Finance Manager to strengthen its financial governance, reporting, and control environment. This role is ideal for a Chartered accountant (ACA/ACCA) with a strong grounding in audit, compliance, and financial controls.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, improving processes, and supporting strategic decision‑making in a fast‑scaling environment.
Key Responsibilities include:
Financial Reporting & Control:
– Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
– Maintain and enhance the financial control framework, embedding best‑practice governance across the finance function.
– Oversee balance sheet integrity, reconciliations, and audit‑ready documentation.
– Manage statutory reporting requirements and support year‑end processes.
Audit, Compliance & Risk:
– Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, ensuring smooth audit cycles and high‑quality submissions.
– Strengthen internal controls, identifying gaps and implementing improvements across financial processes.
– Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory obligations, and internal policies.
– Support risk management activities, including financial risk assessments and mitigation planning.
Process Improvement & Systems:
– Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, controls, and reporting.
– Support system enhancements and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and data quality.
– Champion best practice across the finance team and wider business.
Skills & Experience Required:
– Chartered accountant (ACA/ACCA) – ideal for someone trained in a top‑tier audit environment.
– Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with financial controls.
– Proven experience in audit, compliance, or assurance roles, with a desire to move into a broader finance position.
– Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate clearly.
– Confident stakeholder manager, able to influence and challenge constructively.
– Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, scaling organisation with evolving processes.
